Recruitment – Bourne Transport Services
Heavy Recovery Operatives / Recovery Drivers
We currently have vacancies for recovery operatives. While an HGV Class 1 licence is required and recovery experience is preferred, training will be given in heavy recovery work. These positions may suit those that would like to move into the recovery industry that have mechanical knowledge. A willingness to work antisocial hours in all weathers is imperative.
Be aware that the recovery operative role can be very demanding, and as our main area of business is heavy recovery work, you will be challenged by the work environment. Recovery operatives often have to interact with people in extremely stressful circumstances. They must be able to communicate effectively and be able to to take control of situations while remaining safe, calm, and polite.
The work is rewarding, varied, and interesting. It would include recovery via suspended tow of trucks and buses of all sizes both locally and around the UK. Our services also include off-road winching and accident recovery when required.
Potential applicants must be physically fit, prepared to work in all weather conditions, be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. The ability to keep accurate records is essential.
Training in the safe use of our equipment will be provided, but a practical and considered approach to problems is essential.
